Western Red Cedar Slats number 2 clear grade & better allowing 15% number 4. Number 2 grade cedar allows for 3 irregularities & knots up to 13mm on front face per 3.6m in length. When purchasing our cedar it is always best to allow the timber to settle in the environment the timber we be used within to allow for acclimatisation. Stainless steel nails are reccomended for use with all cedar projects to avoid staining of the timber. You can leave cedar in it’s natural untreated state to take a beautiful silvery tone over time, or in turn stain or treat your finished cedar project to retail the timber’s reddish / brown hues.
